Year over year foreclosures declined 20%. Even though the foreclosure numbers have decreased in November, 76,701 houses were still repossessed as compared to 77,077 in October. The number of real estate properties taken back by banks and financial institutions in 2009 has reached 777,630.
Foreclosures are occurring the most in Nevada, Florida, California and Arizona. Nevada continues to be the worst hit state where one out of every 119 households had a foreclosure filing. Florida had one for every 165 households; California had one for every 180, and Arizona had one for every 186.

1. Merced, California
2. Stockton, California
3. Modesto, California
4. Cape Coral, Florida
5. Las Vegas, Nevada

Foreclosures really change every time. We can see that California is dominating the ranking… Too bad for owners out there.
