Due to the economic  slowdown, rental property vacancy rates are hitting their highs,  and many property managers and landlords are willing to ease lease terms. They find that getting paid slightly less is better than a having a vacancy.

In case of shopping centers, some property managers and landlords are making lease agreements that are common with large retailers. These property managers and landlords are willing to get %age of monthly sales instead of paying based on the building’s square footage.

Some property managers and landlords may be anxious to rent property when a lease ends. However it is even more important in current environment to do proper tenant screening and ensure that they find a tenant that does not lead to sleepless nights.
