Property management company, FirstService’s subsidiary,Field Asset Services (FAS), the nation’s leading provider of field services to the REO industry, today announced it was selected by the Austin Business Journal as one of the “Healthiest Employers of Central Texas” earning 10th place in the mid-size company category for its Fit And Strong Wellness Program.

FAS’s Fit And Strong Wellness Program was implemented in 2010 to offer its employees a vast array of health and wellness activities. Since its introduction just a year ago, the Company has put in place a number of programs including Weight Watchers at Work, on-site fitness classes offering yoga and bootcamp, a Health Fair, the Biggest Loser competition and a Weekly Health Tips staff newsletter.
The Austin Business Journal was pleased to announce the first annual Healthiest Employers of Central Texas presented by Seton Family of Hospitals. This event rewarded Central Texas businesses large and small who are dedicated to workplace wellness. The program is designed to raise awareness about what Central Texas companies are doing to improve the health of their employees so that others may follow their lead. The Healthiest Employers of Central Texas event recognized companies at an outdoor awards walk and luncheon in downtown Austin on March 1, 2011 at Palmer Events Center-Butler Park.
