April 29, 2010: Pacific Office Properties Trust, Inc., a West Coast office real estate investment trust (REIT), announced today it has named Michael Burer as its Executive Vice President of Operations reporting to Jim Ingebritsen, the company’s newly named President and CEO. In his position as Executive Vice President of Operations, Burer will oversee all property operations across Pacific Office Properties’ 4.7-million-square-foot portfolio. His responsibilities will include oversight of leasing activities and the review and approval of capital investment decisions.

“Michael has been with the company for eight years and has been a consistent contributor to our success,” said Ingebritsen. “We are particularly proud to promote Michael to this senior management position, where he can use his expertise and experience to help shape the next phase of our growth.”

Burer has been expanding his areas of responsibility since joining the company in 2002. Prior to his promotion, he was the company’s Senior Vice President of Finance. In that capacity, he managed the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and played an integral part in the acquisition, financing and disposition process. Prior to joining the company, he worked for the San Diego real estate group Chesnut Properties. Burer received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, his MBA from the University of San Diego School of Business, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Arizona.
