A study conducted by Hanley Wood and Realtor Magazine compared construction cost of remodeling with resale values for remodeling projects in 80 different markets. This study discovered that economical and small home improvements could have a higher return than significant remodeling projects that are huge investments.
This 2009 report shows that best remodeling projects are:
1. Door and Siding replacements
2. Addition of Wood Deck
3. Attic Bedroom Additions
The least profitable remodeling projects are:
1. Home Office
2. Addition of Sun Room
