2010 Real Estate Market – Tips and Predictions from Experts
Forbes got three real estate experts to discuss their views on housing and where real estate is headed in 2010. According to one of the experts, many individuals are purchasing in areas where real estate has crashed – Los Angeles, Las Vegas, etc as the belief is that it is once in a 20-year opportunity to buy distressed assets. Individuals with cash are doing most of the buying, as credit market is still tight. Real Estate investors who had leveraged themselves got hurt and lost their properties, as the investments did not cash flow. The real winners in the current real estate market are real estate investors who have access to cash.
The residential real estate is close to the bottom if not at the bottom while commercial real estate market is still in pain. Many storefronts are still empty and so retail commercial real estate market is still hurting. The recover is going to take a little while to happen.
The three real estate experts pulled together by Forbes.com have some good investment advice for real estate investors.
