Tax Deductions
Tax deductions are expenses that can be deducted before a real estate investor or landlord determines taxable income. Tax deductions allow you to reduce your taxable income and also your tax bill. A tax deduction differs from a tax credit, which is applied directly to tax bill, reducing it dollar for dollar.
Tax Deductions – Where to Deduct
Real Estate investors and landlords can take additional tax deductions. These are claimed directly on your Schedule E. There are many rules and limitations pertaining to some of these tax deductions.
